Rage against the washing machine

Ms L had been doing her laundry by hand because she wasn’t sure how to use her washing machine. She asked for help to understand how to use the machine.

Thankfully the manual was easy to follow and I wrote out the relevant instructions in a step-by-step guide with diagrams. We talked through them and put on a load of washing to test the machine. Everything worked well. I helped Ms L assemble a rail to hang the clothes to dry.

We had plenty of time to talk whilst the machine was running and we were assembling the drying rail etc. I think Ms L appreciated the company almost as much as the help with the task itself.
