Papa's Got a Brand New Park

On a very chilly morning 5 runners descended on GoodGym Lambeth's home, Papa's Park, to help them prepare for their grand re-opening.

The GoodGym treatment meant sprucing up the whole place to match the gleaming new playground equipment. Sweeping the basketball court, clearing debris from the flowerbeds, litter picking, extension lead manoeuvres, inflating basketballs, and the most important task of all - an emergency Sainsbury's run for mulled wine supplies.

With usual swift and enthusiastic work, the park was set up and ready to go in no time. The red ribbon was cut and children and adults alike stormed the new playground.

All that remained was for a sip of mulled wine and then the runners retired to regain the feeling in their fingertips.
