Our good fern for the day

2 Goodgymers managed to dodge the rain to help Mrs J with clearing some unwanted plants from her garden.

The first task on the list was to remove lots of stinging nettles from her borders. After a quick briefing and getting together the various tools and green waste bin, we set to work cutting back nettles, brambles and some Ivy that had started to take over one of the trees and half of the fence in Mrs J's garden.

It was a great opportunity for Laura and Katherine to catch up on each other's news over the past week or so including holidays and long canal walks.

With the borders looking tidier, there was then a bit of time to cut back some ferns and raspberries that were overhanging the garden path before it was time to pack everything away and say our goodbyes. Thankfully the rain held off for a majority of the time we were there, only for the heavens to open again as we were leaving. Perfect timing!
