On a crisp Saturday morning four of us travelled up to the Palace Road Nature Gardens to meet the lovely Jerry to help him with some over grown weeds. The task in hand was to re-establish the back hedge that had been hidden as it had become over grown with stinging nettles and all types of menacing things. We set about removing the surrounding area to get to the original hedge and then removing all manner of weeds. Armed with a variety of tools a big shout out needs to go to the whopping grim reaper type scythe that took no prisoners and made swift inroads into the surrounding stinging nettles, basically it was like a hot knife through butter.

After 2 hours the area turned from an overgrown area you wouldn’t want to fetch your football from to a clear area with a clear hedge. Jerry gave the thumps up and we were on our merry way. Another mission compete good work team!
