On a sunny saturday morning after park run three GG runners rocked up to the YUMI shared walled garden, to provide much needed people power to start clearing the allotment for future use.

While two other YUMI voluteers got stuckd in clearing some of the raised beds, Laura, Cara and myself galently dove into the clearing of the overgrown bramble beds. With no gauntlets to hand, we carefully navigated the prickley vines by using our loppers as extendable claws and moving them into a barrow, taking turns to empty it into the designated corner of thorns. After and hour and a half, we'd made a sizable dent in the work required to get the garden ship shape and user friendly! And with that we departed to the rest of our weekends.
