Tonight was an evening off two sorts.... We were celebrating Emily’s birthday tonight, but at the same time. also missing ans thinking about our lovely friend Nigel

Tonight, we were back out with the litter pickers. This evening, we were in the town centre, focusing on an area near to our local swimming pool. The evening was dark, but we were well lit with various lights and torches.

Emily, Kat, Maurice and Nicola set to work with the bags and pickers in collecting as much rubbish as we could (Maurice always seems to collect the most... not sure how he does it, lol !!!). Litter picking is quite a social activity, and we enjoyed a good chat as we collected. We managed to fill at least 4 bags., so it was a successful evening and good to see the streets looking tidier at the end of the evening.

The rain set in just as we got to the end of our session, so it was the perfect timing for heading to Hops Bar for a celebratory drink and a slice of cake for Emily’s birthday. It was lovely that Karen was also able to join us in Hops and to be able to catch up and have a chat with her. It’s always nice to have a drink at the end of a Goodgym task and it felt quite overdue, so it was especially nice tonight.

Well done everyone. Another successful task completed tonight.

Look after yourselves and see you all soon.

Lots of love
