On Monday Evening Goodgym Brent met at Willesden Green Tube, not letting our homelessness or lack of task put us off from our weekly run. We welcomed James to the group who had signed up for Goodgym a while ago and joined us for the first time.
It was a cold night, so our warm up was much needed, then we jogged together to Queens Park, ready for the Queens Park Time Trial.
Tabitha kept time, while the four runners jogged a lap of the Park. James was back first, closely followed by Rebecca, and Lee and Pete brought up the rear.
While they caught their breath Tabitha did some mental exercise of her brain to calculate the starting time for lap two. On the second lap each runner was given a handicap, so they would all have an equal chance of finishing first. And then they were off again! It no time at all, Lee came sprinting back and had scored the crown for most improved runner ! After the last of the runners made it back, we stopped for a photo opportunity and jogged back to Willesden Green.
On the way , believe it or not, we spotted a huge Meteor fly across the night sky! Some may argue it was a firework, but it was definitely meteor like.
Back at our base, we stretched to cool down and then popped into Beer & Burger for further cooling, of a liquid kind.
Great job everyone !
