The second part of the rewriting of Hanif Kureishi’s novel of the film was similar to the first but in reverse. This didn’t mean doing it backwards, although that might have been more entertaining.
Man checks in pocket that has receipt for the service wash - man walks to laundrette - man enters laundrette and smiles at the manager - the manager looks exhausted - she finds Ms E’s bag - man pays for service wash and gets receipt - man walks down busy road - man does hopscotch - man rings doorbell to Ms E’s flat - he pushes open the main front door to the block - Ms E smiles as she opens the door - man and Ms E talk about her hospital visit yesterday - man leaves (there were no shoots or eating) - man returns along busy road, hopscotching into the sunset.
