Three Coventry Goodgymers went to the Team Springboard allotment during the weekend of the Great Get Together to help with various jobs during a very busy time in the gardening year!

Our task today was to mow the grass, remove weeds, in particular (night)mare’s tail and generally tidy up the edges of the allotment so that it is ready to welcome the many groups that enjoy the space. As always, Esther shared her extensive knowledge and expertise and we now have top tips about our tomato growing, Latin names for different plants and we got to try a few of the first delicious strawberries 🍓.

After we finished, we had a lovely cuppa and a catch up chat and enjoyed the lovely surroundings. Looking forward to our next visit!
