Great to see everyone tonight for the return to our adopted parks for litter picks.

Tonight we started in Brueton Park by the lake and the wooded area, which helped increase our running distance. Once we’d found all the litter we could, it was onto our second park of the night, Tudor Grange. For tonight’s fitness we did a pyramid session on the well lit cycle path.

This involves 30 seconds of hard running, 45 seconds of slightly easier run, 1 minute of race pace, back to 45 seconds slightly harder, and finishing off with a final 30 second hard sprinting. Each interval has a 30 second rest in between. This session is really good to help build up your stamina and the amount of oxygen in your blood. A massive well done to Rachel who pushed extremely hard right up until the last 30 seconds, giving Chris a run for his money!

Once everyone got their breaths back, we started our litter pick working our way from the cycle path back down to the bottom, picking all the litter we could find in the dark.

We then headed back to base for a stretch and to wish Chris the best of luck for the half marathon on Sunday!
