A massive welcome to Theadora who came all the way from Havering to complete her first GG mission today.

In all 5 people arrived to help finish sorting and dating items at Frenford Food Bank. Husband and Wife team Ed and Linda arrived first and were soon joined by Ramon who had cycled across from neighbouring Waltham Forest. Ramon was quick to start work assisting Ed in the store room, putting out the rest of the cereals and clearing donations.

AJ arrived and got stuck in to the shambles that was supposed to be toiletry corner, Theadora did a sterling job weeding out stale baby milk and making sure the remaining stock was clearly dated, she then went on to sort out the toothpaste tray separating children's from adults and putting the toothbrushes separately, this will save the packers lot of time raking about on that shelf 😀 Likewise AJs sorting and labeling on the other toiletery shelves will stop the shampoo shuffle on packing day.

Ed was in his element as while he was sorting out the stocktaking the conversation was all about history and film which are his passion.

Linda set about organising the higher shelves and taking excess stock out of the way into the store room.

It was a concern that there were too many people for the amount of sorting left but we all found useful ways to spend our time there. Irfan (task owner) asked for his thanks to be passed on to all who have been involved.

We were so involved in what we were doing, that no photos got taken until half the people had left, so please enjoy photos of some very tidy shelves instead. 😁
