Mission

Lux of the drawer

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in York.

This morning, I made my journey to work a little more exciting by going to help Mrs E with a practical task.

Mrs E needed a lightbulb changed, but her sight loss made it difficult to do so. I've recently started a new job, and since it's my first non-remote role in years I'm enjoying the novelty of a commute - to make my commute a bit more interesting today, I took a long diversion on my bike to help Mrs E.

The task was quick - Mrs E had kindly dug a spare bulb out of a drawer and a stepladder - so I had the new bulb in and tested within a minute or two of arriving. I helped pop the ladder back, hopped on my bike, then headed off for my day happy knowing I'd helped out. These lower effort and high impact tasks are where I've always seen the most value in GoodGym, and it was great to do it!

Mission accomplished.
