It was good to be invited to the meeting about South Woodford Station planters, GoodGym was very much involved with the installation of them and it was frustrating to see that they had fallen into neglect during the lock downs. It was therefore encouraging to see renewed interest today. The Energy Garden are now very much involved again bringing with them ideas advice and most importantly funding. The meeting was also attended by members of the Council Engagement team and experienced gardeners from the local orchard project.

The main issue regarding the planters has been gaining access to water at the station, its now been established that the station is always manned we just need to knock on the office door. How we get through the ticket barriers to get to the door is still an issue but maybe a passing kindly passenger will assist on our behalf.

Being good community minded people all attending got involved with watering the plants while we were there. GoodGym's assistance with watering is welcome at anytime and they will be calling us in when it comes to installing the walled garden at the station.
