A quiet start to the Monday evening shift at City Harvest’s food distribution warehouse with an assortment of small jobs to clear and clean the warehouse. Then a flurry of activity as a late delivery arrived. My task sorting, crating and labelling the fresh meat ready to go into one of the huge fridges, including a small flocks-worth of Gressingham duck.
