Andrew and Mike journeyed down from Cardiff hoping to pull off a heist of berries in Barry today. As today’s mission was to trim back some raspberry and blackberry vines as well as tidy up the garden of it’s overgrowth.

Unfortunately the heist didn’t quite go to plan because, well, winter so the Vine-nie Joneses were devoid of fruit. However, they were criminally out of control trying to steal space from other plants in the garden so we became the good guys calling in the ‘loppers’ to restore order to the garden.

After a de-brief from the in-secateurs we got to work. We lopped, we chopped and two bags of brambles later we had a garden looking quite the opposite from a crime scene. So whilst we were unable to make away with a barrel of berries, we still accomplished our mission.
