4 Goodgymers ran to complete a litter pick around Newbold Comyn and parts of the NCN 41 cycle route.

Having had a quick warm up at the Fat Pug we started our run out towards Newbold Comyn, stopping along the first part of the NCN cycle route when we reached Newbold Terrace East to pick the litter that had been left near the start of the cycle route.

We then continued our run past the leisure centre spotting the body pumpers and spinners before picking around the skatepark, playground and along the further part of the NCN 41 route around the football pavilion.

We then dropped our bags of collected rubbish in the bins and took a slightly longer route for our run back to the Fat Pug which included a couple of good hills to get the blood pumping.

Whilst there wasn't a lot of litter to pick around the park, we had a really enjoyable run and it was great to welcome back Helen to her first group run for a while. Kudos to Amy who was heading straight to the hockey pitch after GoodGym for her second good deed of the day refereeing a match!

Looking forward to next week's task at Guys Cliffe already :-)
