Sometimes when I show up at Mrs U's in a t-shirt in winter or, now, early spring, I need to explain that I don't feel cold because I have run there. Then we often chat about training. Today Mrs U told me about the exercises she does. I found out she wishes she could do more walking but is worried about going anywhere further than the corridor on her own. I asked whether she would come outside when it gets warmer if someone accompanied her, and she would be keen to do so. I wonder if GoodGymers are qualified to assist with such little walks.

Mrs U also told me about the workouts her son does. I briefly spoke about the types of training I do. When I mentioned kung fu, Mrs U's eyes lit up. She said she was watching Bruce Lee's movies and was impressed with his art and training regimen. She particularly appreciated his power of the mind - and I loved that she said that!

Today's shopping was surprisingly light, so took advantage of that I bought myself a couple of discounted plant protein drink cartons and nuts on offer that I didn't mind carrying around. Sadly, I didn't manage to get the Indian cornflake mix for Mrs U (again!). I also came back without the Lidl catalogue as I found out they are only available in the bigger stores - and I didn't go to the Hanwell's Lidl today as the list didn't contain the marble cake (phew!).

This weekend Mrs U requested a record number of seven bananas (five greenish, two ripe). When I came back, she asked me how would I preserve seven bananas. I replied that seven bananas would last me for three days tops, so quite easily. It was not very helpful.

I appreciate a lot that Mrs U is very thankful for all the shopping I do. She praises me certainly more than I deserve and I know that when it comes to prayers, she's got my back, even if God and I decided not to talk to each other. Coming over for that weekly or bi-weekly shop is certainly a reassuring and positive experience to me. And let's don't forget there's sometimes a cat available to pet! What else could one need to have a nice weekend?

I hope the bananas will last Mrs U for a week. If I bought that much for myself, it wouldn't be really sustainable!
