After a successful start to yesterday's community mission, we went back for day two of skip filling to help the venue re-open next month. Liam, Alex, Alice, Laura and I wasted no time and got straight to work! There was lots of rubble and wood that was decanted into a wheelbarrow and other receptacles to then load into the skip. We had moved all the remaining waste in less than an hour; there was no skipping around this gardens' edges (thanks Laura for this pun). Jessie at the SouthBank was pleased and impressed that we managed to load the skip in 2 hours over the weekend. The skip was near enough empty when we started yesterday to near enough full today - great job to everyone involved! Are you feeling it in your arms yet? I certainly am!

The SouthBank is a special place for me (Shreena) as it's where I learnt to dance salsa and also attended swing dance classes and African dance classes there. I really miss attending classes there weekly so it was nice to be back even though there wasn't any dancing involved.

The rain held off whilst we did this task, but it started to rain straight after the task so it was a wet walk/run/cycle home afterwards!
