This was a lovely Community Mission to end the year with.

We went to help Hospital of King James Sheltered Accommodation in Gateshead. They had requested help with clearing leaves from the footpaths to make it easier for the residents.

I was slightly late arriving as I had been to help at junior parkrun. I arrived to find Louise, Dan and Liz already busy and getting stuck in which was brilliant.

In just 40 minutes we managed to clear 20 full bin bags of leaves. It was a great team effort and a great good deed to finish 2021!

Pippa the task owner was delighted with our efforts and a few of the residents came out to thank us. I'm sure we will be returning in January!
