On a strangely warm autumn night four of Goodgym's finest met at Wanstead House Community Association to sweep leaves and run 5km in the process.

With Ellie back from a well deserve holiday, it was all chat last night at Wanstead House as the team earnt their keep by helping out at Wanstead House Community Association. This has been GG Redbridge's home for the last 15 months and we repay our use of the facilities by doing good deeds around the house from time to time. With autumn well underway, leaves had built up around the back of the house and it was down to the team to sweep and tidy the space. A perfect winter task for Goodgym.

With the task done in no time, all that was left was to get out on the streets to get fit. With new member, Carly, and regular runner, Ellie, both beginning their spring marathon training early (very smart) it was simply a case of logging some easy miles and building that important base.

Next week we head out on to the mean streets of Wanstead to raise awareness of a litter picking initiative. It's going to be a super fun task and you can sign up here
