13 Westminster GoodGymers ran a Powerful 8k to Pimlico Childrens centre to prune and tidy the outside space for the under 5's.

On a surprisingly warm London evening we felt like we had won the lottery with the epic increase in temperature from the week before! We welcomed Beth for her first Goodgym run.

Setting off needing to weave our running magic though the busy central London streets we side stepped, pirouetted and glided past the evenings shoppers. As we got down to Mayfair we had a treat of a cruise down the St James' Hill knowing that it would have its revenge on the way home.

Up and down stairs ducking through ally's and side streets we were soon in Pimlico at the Children's centre to meet Catherine after 25 minutes and 4k of top running.

We got straight to work sweeping with added Lunge from Graham elegant pruning with safety scissors of the sweet smelling Lavender bushes and rubbish/weed removal from the flower beds.

We smashed out 25 minutes of top work which really made a difference to the whole area and Catherine was really appreciative of our efforts know how it will have helped the paying and entrance areas for the children.

We set off for home with a couple off options to increase the fitness we had the easily recognisable Loop the Loop and the slightly controversial Boost option.

We got a few early 20 second Boost surges in to feed the legs some speed. Quickly followed up by some distance stretching Loop the Loop efforts where we added some speed, activated the green man at the pedestrian crossing before looping back to behind the Sexy runners.

We added in a few alternating lunges to get our legs ready for the St James's Hill and danced up the steps to increase running cadence before reaching the foot of the mountain! It was every GoodGymers for themselves as everyone dominated the hill powering up before we all took a well earned rest. 5 more minutes running a rang of static stretches and a reminder about document checks for Missions and we were done!

A top session and look forward to seeing you all again next week for some more Fun on the run action as we go and help a sort the clothing donations for a homeless charity. Please sign up here and come along!

Smooth Surging
