This afternoon Jason, John and I made our way to Mrs S who needed some help tidying up her garden. The garden was in ship shape after a recent visit from other GoodGym-ers but good weather of late has meant that lots of weeds had begun cropping up.

Under the watchful eye of the neighbourhood cat Mrs S showed us around her gardens before we set to work uprooting weeds, scraping moss off the wall, sweeping up fallen leaves and clipping back the rose bushes to allow for new growth and hopefully lots of roses later in the summer. Armed with some table salt from the kitchen cupboard we also set about tackling the weed problem at its root. We liberally poured salt on the areas where we had plucked out some key weed offenders so hopefully they won't grow back any time soon!

All in all it took us just over an hour, at which point we headed on our way and left Mrs S to enjoy the rest of the weekend in the sun in her garden.
