Last Laugh Before Lockdown

Tonight saw us get together for the last task before the UK’s second lockdown. We’re hoping we’ll be able to continue to support organisations who deliver vital support during the 4 week period but if we can’t, at least we’ve finished on a positive note tonight.

We went along to the Wishing Well this evening to help with a few different tasks - all of which were helping towards to the Centre’s super spruce up.

The Wishing Well Organisation have been pivotal throughout the pandemic in delivering meals to the vulnerable, collecting and delivering shopping and prescriptions as well as delivering a much needed befriending service.

Tonight, husband and wife teams Karen and Nigel and Pam and Barry got tasked with painting two small rooms. I’m not sure who won the prize for the most paint coverage (and I don’t mean on the walls, lol!). Emily meanwhile gave the American fridge freezer a thorough clean until it was gleaming and Maurice and I got our sleeves rolled up for some good old fashioned scrubbing and scraping.
