Haringey

Keeping the weeds at bay

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Haringey.

2 runners ran a very roundabout 17km to help look after a garden.

"Lovely Legs" Dave, "No Trail Name" Sarah and Nurjehan "One Pace" met up to run at a reasonable pace to get to Ally Pally Parkrun. When we got there, we found another 4 GoodGym runner there already!

Sarah beat Lovely Legs, and got a course PB too! Well done!

With that done Oisin joined us and together with One Pace we headed off towards Finsbury Park via the lovely Parkland walk, saying goodbye to Oisin at Harringay and One Pace at Finsbury Park. Once we arrived we thought about doing some cool down stretches, but since it was only 4°C we felt cool enough and wanted to get cracking!

There was one bay tree in particular that needed a bit of heavy pruning, and plenty of the usual deep tap rooted weeds that need excavating. We'd soon filled two bin bags with garden waste, and refuelled on homemade cake and tea, and were on our way again!
