We set out, on a scorching hot day, to pick up the food and other essentials being provided to some families in need by our local foodbank. We had received the addresses already, and had planned our route! we hadn't planned for those pesky roadworks though - which of course were right in the way of our first drop off. After a significant delay we arrived. No answer. We tried again. No answer. With no contact number for the drop off we made contact with base and it was agreed we would deliver the rest of our packages, and try again on the way back. The rest of the task was pretty uneventful - apart from the exasperated call from base saying we'd been asked to "put it in their camper van so they can go out!". Couldn't really blame them. The beach was calling us too. problem was, no camper van! A quick call confirmed it was a different address, and there we found the camper van. We finally returned to our first delivery point, and rang the bell again. No answer! As we were about to leave the door opened. Was it you who rang the bell earlier she asked.....
