On a very wet and windy Saturday morning, 4 hardy GoodGymers braved the conditions to help out at Birmingham Settlement. After a brief introduction from Stuart about the history of the site and what the future plans are, we got to work. Ryan and Becky started with the tricky task of clearing a pile of brambles and cuttings, while Louise and myself got stuck in the mud, moving a big pile of soil upto the main building to be used as material for planting beds.

Despite the rather grim conditions, spirit's remained high and everyone done a cracking job! It was a double whammy too, after all of us had originally helped volunteer at Parkrun just before.

Great work all! Looking forward to going back when the weather is slightly better!
