It's a Lidl Oasis...
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.
- Thursday, 1st of June 2023
Ms H proved to be very well prepared when I knocked (loudly) on her door. She asked if I minded going to the Lidl in Peckham to get her shopping - I said that should be no problem if it was walkable, to which she replied "it's only a mile or so".
It was a pleasant evening, so the long walk in the late afternoon sunshine was really enjoyable, but it was definitely further than a mile (or so...), with Rye Lane proving to be particularly "lively" at this time of day.
When the shimmering blue and yellow sign of Lidl Peckham was finally sighted in the distance, it really did feel like I'd stumbled upon the oasis in the desert...now if only I could find somewhere to tie up the camel...
