After a cancellation and a hasty re-arrangement, our Saturday Special took place today with Ouseburn Trust.

We met at midday for our first lunchtime group run and headed off through Ouseburn just as the rain started! Deb, Tanya and Louise ran ahead while Paul and I walked and took in the sights of this cute little area of our city (mainly ducks, dogs and amazing graffiti!)

Task Owner Dave met us, ready and prepared as ever for the task ahead. We were going to be path clearing today, making the route safe and clear for people who use the route to run, walk and cycle between the Quayside and surrounding areas of the city. This is a task that is a proper workout, with a lot of bending, lunging and stretching. There were a few aching arms and well-worked backs by the end. You can really see the difference just 40 minutes of work made, and Dave was so grateful for our time.

There was a quick fitness session under the arches before we headed back to the Cycle Hub for an impromptu cake and coffee catch up to warm up.

Our next session is on Wednesday evening and we'd love to see you along.
