If only we could turn back time
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Kingston upon Thames.

It was Africa’s first mission, and boy it was lucky to have Africa! The mission was fixing the pendulum on a grandfather clock and changing a light bulb. It turned out to be a highly confusing task that needed Einstein at hand to help. Luckily, Africa came to the rescue with her mechanical geniusness and she took the face off the clock and started to get to grips with its inner workings. Totally clueless, Samia was literally clock watching, seeing if anything helped to kickstart the minute and hour hands. With a mission buddy about as useful as a chocolate teapot (sorry Africa!), Africa sourced a chair to stand on to investigate the cog-chain-pulley-pendulum situation further.
Still (or perhaps even more) perplexed, Samia went to change the living room lightbulb and provided much-needed illumination for Ms B who was engrossed in her crossword. This was quite the cognitive workout for all of us!
Meanwhile, Africa had successfully sorted out the pendulum but, as much as we (or Africa) tried, we couldn’t get the mechanism working and we were literally stuck in time. This is perhaps one for professional clock fixers (or Africa once she has consulted YouTube...).
Well done on your first mission Africa - you gave Einstein a run for his money this afternoon!
