Tonight’s task was our first round of helping Raf and his football club in Salthill park. So when I looked at the listing last night and only saw one sign up (me!), I knew I had to put a shout out for more little helpers..

Luckily Ricky is goals oriented and after his 100 so he was up for it

Super Sut never lets us down (she’s a keeper!) so she also signed up

And of course our gem Jean never Messi around - she was up for it and up for running the longer distance!

We met at Sainsbury’s to get the extra mileage in but no sign of Jean so we assumed she was meeting us at Salthill park.

So off we ran through town to the activity Centre. But where was Jean? We now assumed she wasn’t coming

assume makes an ass out of u and me

Of course Jean was coming! She just got stuck in traffic so parked up at Sainsbury’s and ran down instead! What a trooper!

A brush with Raf(a)

On arrival we met Raf and his team who had already cleared the Astro pitch so all we had to do was bat for the tennis courts!

We did a brooming marvelous job all round! Forty minutes in we had cleared all the edges of debris, weeds and litter!

Just time for a quick round of broom tennis before we said our goodbyes and ran back for some penal-teas!

Next week is our last 2021 group run session at the track! Hope to see you there
