Team Barnsley ran the hilly route to Lavender Court to help plant some flowers!

Lou had scouted a different route which she reckoned to be shorter than last time. It was, but included a sneaky extra hill near the task too. Nonetheless, everybody took it in their stride.

We arrived at Lavender court to be met by Danny and Stuart with a tabletop full of flowers; there were roses, daffodils, pansies and violas. A few weeks back we dug over and de-weeded a big patch of soil, and now was our chance to pretty it up.

Stuart had a strategy to make it look really good. It involved digging out two little rows with pansies on the inside and violas on the outside. The main problem was that right now they all looked exactly the same, so fingers crossed they come out right once they flower.

The roses formed the centrepieces with the daffs dotted in between ready to pop out for spring. In 25 minutes we'd planted everything and we looked on proudly as was very neat and tidy.

It was back up and over with a mini rest at the top of one hill to do a few squats, because the hills just aren't hard enough on their own.

Next week will be my last run with GG Barnsley before Sheffield Tom takes over, so prepare for a mega goodbye fitness sesh which will be utterly lungetastic!
