This evening at FoodCycle saw a mighty team of 4 GoodGymmers all pitching in and helping out. Gill, after having collected the surplas food, was on the Cooking Team with Tigger & Martin. Dani arrived for the 5pm hosting slot and it was a good job there was so much food prepared because boy was it busy! A whopping 44 guests were fed and watered, including 6 children and everyone seemed very grateful. On the menu we had a smashing Avocado on toasted olive bread with roasted tomatos, a vegetable curry with jacket potatos for the main course, and a pudding of hot cross buns. All the leftovers were portioned up and taken away by the guests, including lots of cakes, bread and parsnips (a FoodCycle staple!). All in all it was a very successful evening.
