I plogged alongside the Ravensbourne in Brookmill Park, a favourite place due to the herons nesting there in the spring. Two of them watched me from a safe distance as I picked up large amounts of rubbish deposited upstream but brought down in high waters earlier in the week. Four of the recycled London 10,000 kit bags were filled en route.
