I joined Friends of Maidenhead Waterways to work on clearing paths by York Stream. The aim was cut back brambles, clear leaves on footpaths, and work on overgrowth from water side. I cleared a footpath leading to A4 road to make pleasant for walking to town centre. I helped to cut back large patch of brambles. We had a tea break with biscuits, which is always welcomed. Then we continued work and chatted with passers-by. We felt like we had made a difference for the town at the end of the session.
