Despite not having visited since 2017, Mrs. S remembered us well, immediately referring to Steve as "the one who likes KitKats".

Mrs. S had cunningly put down some tarpaulin over the winter to try and limit weed growth. Our task was to remove this and the few hardy weeds that had managed to grow anyway, and dig over the patch of garden in preparation for spring planting. Sneaky Suze was immediately very excited to find a hoard of sticky goosegrass. Kitkat Steve was less thrilled to find himself repeatedly covered in it whenever his back was turned, but got his own back laughing at Suze repeatedly falling over backwards while pulling up roots. We unearthed plenty of stones, which Steve carefully rearranged along the edge of the grass.

"Thats an impressive border Steve"

"Us Northern Irish are good at borders!"

After a quick lesson in the names of all seven dwarves from Mrs. S, and a debate over which of us was Grumpy (Steve, obviously!), we had a quick photo with her two resident dwarves and just had time mow the front lawn and weed another border before heading home.
