It was the hottest day of the year so far when we turned up at 6.30 ready to run!

We were definitely a select few tonight as a reminder we need to get the word out in Poole to other runners what we are all about!

We headed up, at a steady pace towards Branksome and St Aldhelms church who have a project to be an open church where anyone can come and sit inside and enjoy the peace. This also translates to the gardens as they are working on opening up the gardens with lower bushes and colourful flowers!

The task tonight was to clear some beds of grass and weeds so more flowers can be planted by other church volunteers! Despite it only being us, fork in hands we got digging and found it really quite therapeutic on a summer's evening!

We stayed as long as we could too clear the beds before having a steady jog back enjoying the drop in temperature.

Great to have such lovely company, chatting about anything from mindfulness to a half marathon in Disney World whilst digging away!
