GoodGym’s Insect Hotel chain Expands.

A day at the Hounslow Jamia Masjid helping Ruby with the creation of new community gardens around the mosque and car park.

Today’s mission started with tidying and litter picking. Once complete, this enabled me to attack the real work of the day: creating the foundations and building the pallet structure of the new Bug Hotel. This was hard physical work, thankfully fuelled by a wonderful curry and baklava lunch. I was hugely thankful for help to backfill the foundations and return soil to the bed, removing huge quantities of stone and hard core to improve the soil.

Not enough time left to do any new planting (except for a lavender and a Canna) but I managed to edge the lawn area near the main gate and create a temporary border with planters before tidying up and heading
