Five of GoodGymโ€˜s finest turned up at Valentines Park Run ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ and with the run quickly executed we were off to 1st Hainault Scouts Hall. Peter, Clair James and Linda got started on litter picking, wood clearing and weed pulling. We were assured the liquor ๐Ÿฅƒ bottles and ๐Ÿบ beer cans we were picking up had been thrown over the fence from outside and the contents had not been consumed by the Scout Troop. ๐Ÿ˜€ James who was on his 50th mission โญ๏ธ cleared most of the Ivy. Stefania arrived and assisted Clair with digging up the roots of some stubborn weeds. A sleepy Dharmesh turned up and was soon stuck in working with the team. Our host Diane then brought out hot drinks and we shared what goodies we had between us as well as the cake that Sharon brought just in time for tea. ๐Ÿฐ Then it was time to start on the double nemesis of brambles and more Ivy. Here we discovered even our thickest gloves are not thick enough for some brambles and long strands will often poke, scratch and snag on your team mates. ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ With some tempers getting a little frayed we finished that activity and started the clear up. Ever practical Peter fashioned a neat fence out of branches to stack the remaining logs against and with a quick tidy up we were done. All things said and done we agreed it was an enjoyable task nicely facilitated by our hosts. Itโ€™s apparent there is more work to be done there and we may make a return visit. We couldnโ€™t agree on a name for the little gnome we found so to test who read this report to the end Iโ€™m asking you to put suggested names in the comments on this report. ๐Ÿ˜
