Tonight I met up with Abi and Rosanna for a mission in Lambeth for Mr P.

Mr P has been in the hospital for several weeks. However, he's now in a position to come home and convalesce is more familiar surroundings. To help effect this, GoodGym were asked if we could exchange a downstairs living room sofa with an upstairs double bed. This will allow Mr P to live on the ground floor for a few weeks while his mobility improves.

Mr P has been blessed with the same friendly neighbours for 35 years. Such long-standing acquaintance meant that the neighbour was more than happy to meet us after work and let us in to Mr P's. After we made some brief hellos, she was also more than happy to point out what needed moving and to where, which made our lives so much easier (awesome sauce).

For the first order of business, we scoped out the route to be navigated by the furniture being exchanged. Following this, Rosanna made the sensible decision to take down all of the pictures hanging along the stairway (breakages are BadGym 😅). Having had lots of previous experience with hallway pictures, we also remembered to stack them in the order that we took them down in: This makes it easier to put them back up in the right order at the end (don't let anyone tell you that pedantry and forethought isn't cool 😎).

With the route cleared, it took a relatively short amount of time to replace the sofa with the bed, matters being speeded along by the production of Phillips screwdriver by the neighbour. The sofa ultimately ended up in a *different" spare bedroom to the one we took the bed from (🤷🏼‍♀️), but it seemed happy enough there so we decided to let it stay until maybe spring.

Rosanna finished up the task by definitely remembering the hallway picture order from our earlier stacking, and, before we knew it, everything was picture perfect, and we were taking selfies, and saying goodbye.

Abi, Rosanna: great working with you and see you again soon! 😄 (Abi, very soon :D)
