Another Tuesday, another day for collecting food surplus from two local supermarkets, and as I would be cooking with it later I was hopeful that there would be plenty available. Once again, my favourite produce assistant was there to greet me in Sainsbury's and didn't let me down. Before long I was packing boxes with a wide variety of fruit veg and dairy produce. One trolley was loaded to the top, and soon taken outta Sainsbury's and I got it into my car. I had to return to the store to load up a second trolley and eventually managed to get it all packed neatly into the boot.

My next pick up was less rewarding, although the manager was very apologetic about it, but a bag of potatoes and other items were loaded into the car, along with the other produce and I was soon driving through the school's traffic to get to the Church Hall and deliver the food to the waiting project leader, ready to be turned into a sumptuous 3 course meal for up to 50 people. Parked up by a nearby park, I ran back to the church excited to be joining the cooking team for the next task.
