Garden free from weeds? Put a bird on it!

Rebecca and James helped out Mrs R by de-weeding her backyard in time for the advent of Summer.

And boy was there a lot of de-weeding to do. This was one of those super satisfying missions that provides a timely reminder that you can't spell GoodGym without 'Gym' - a real workout.

Many were the insects that scampered away from our well intentioned weed wrangling. And this got the attention of a local robin, which puffed out its brilliant red gold breast at the smorgasboard of delights before it. James took a series of portraits of this visitor in the hope that one would come out perfectly in focus. Maybe next time James.

Baa baa GoodGym had we any weeds? Yes sir yes sir 10 bags full by the end of this mission. Mrs R was very thankful and we finished things off by taking the waste bags out front for collection, and by giving the backyard area a good sweep.
