On a previous mission, a lovely Goodgymer installed the mounting bracket for the doorbell & got the app onto Mr I's phone - but couldn't finish the task because the doorbell battery needed charging.

This made my job today very simple, because the battery was now fully charged. 😁 Mr I mentioned he's gotten a new phone since December and would ideally like the app on that instead, so I tried installing it there - but he'll need to remember a password first before that can happen.

So, after trying that out for the first 10 minutes, I worked through the installation steps on the original phone and app. Pretty simple, so afterwards installed the doorbell firmware update it needed and tweaked the notification settings to how Mr I would like them.

Next I walked Mr I how to use the app & doorbell and left a sheet of written instructions describing the main points. He was very happy with his new doorbell!

Finally, he asked if I could take a couple of pictures of fox damage to his back garden, so finished up the visit with that & lots of tales of the foxes in question. Maybe they'll pop up on the doorbell videos? 🦊
