After being inspired by the work we have been doing with Birmingham Central Foodbank and after recently moving to Hednesford, I got in touch with Cannock Foodbank to see if I could help in any way. They are also part of the Trussell Trust Network and said they would appreciate help at their warehouse at Coniston Hall.

After an induction about the way they operate, I got involved with sorting, labelling (with stickers as opposed to marker pens) and packing donations.

It was interesting to volunteer at a different Foodbank as it gave me insight into how things are done differently and gave me an opportunity to pack food donations for those in need.

They were grateful for my help and I look forward to getting involved with more warehouse shifts on Saturdays.
