Katie and Jo headed to Mrs V’s this morning to help out with her garden. She has been unable to do any work on it recently as she broke her arm several weeks ago. Mrs V had also bought some bedding plants that needed to be planted. We started on trimming excess branches from the bay tree that we could reach and Katie braved the brambles the trimmed those down so they weren’t blocking the greenhouse. We then started weeding the main bed ready for the plants and Katie arranged where they would go. Jo dug an area and raked this out so that some poppy seeds could be sown in raised bed. Katie planted some garlic that Mrs V had in some troughs and battled with the hosepipe while Jo and Mrs V took cover. After watering the garlic, poppy seeds and new bedding plants and Katie we put the tools away and headed off home.
