Flash of light

It all looked so nice and simple... on paper.... pop in, grab old bulb, go get new one, put new one in, everybody happy!

And it started fine, the light unit came apart quite easily, bulb out... but finding a new one was a little trickier. Initial info provided at sign-up mentioned local shops, but none had this kind of bulb. Further down to Hackney centre still no luck, until I came across a seemingly rare sight of an electrical specialist, who had the right one!

Feeling positive, with the bike back working again, I returned and plugged in the new bulb.... only to be met by a millisecond flash of light before more darkness... Seemingly it wasn't the bulbs fault, but something else, perhaps that caused the initial bulb to blow?

So very unfortunately and to no fault of Goodgym, but this mission was not completed. Fingers crossed the qualified council electricians can solve the problem soon!
