Three Greenwich Goodgym regulars were lucky to beat the rain this afternoon as they helped clear up a garden in need of some TLC!

Armed with some thick gloves, and some slightly less adequate gardening tools, the tasks included the trimming of a garden hedge, pruning the rose bushes, and clearing the leafy garden path.

All was going well until we discovered our tools just weren’t getting through the rose bush as easily as we’d planned.... but on further inspection it was not our lack of gardening skills to blame. The bush was stuffed with not one, but three long black socks! Laundry day must have gone a little wrong.

Back on track we had cleared up the garden in just over an hour. Everything was looking much neater and the garden path was certainly much safer.

We hope Mrs S can get out and enjoy her garden a little more often now!
