It was a Rye old time when 13 glorious gals and guys from GG Southwark, hit the heath, for a hefty rubbish sweep. Picking up the mess followed all the fitness tests!!

On a beautifully sunny eve in Pow Pow Peckham, we came, we saw and we conquered.... mountains of litter that is! Oh yes.... Big bags at the ready and sexy latex gloves on, the crew split into mini teams and went off in competition for a 30minutes haul ass and blast to see who could fill most bags with leftovers and litters from the grassy Rye.

Of course no competition would be complete without the promise of a prize and this eve continuing the fruit themed winners haul started from Pineapple Power during the urban orienteering, this time around the converted trophy was none other than...... Da da da daaaaaaaa The prize melon!!! up for offer and ready for the hungriest scoffer. Okay, this comp just got serious!!!!

So with the short run to the start line complete and no time to 'waste' it was 3,2,1 let's go in haste!

The teams sprinted off, leaving me at the start with my own mission to acomplish.... pick up and clear the absolute mountain of cigarette butts that had been dashed onto the ground by the bench! Omg can I just say, on my own I filled a third of a bag just with these little fag ends alone! But to my delight my efforts did not go unappreciated, as a little boy with his father came up to me and said What you are doing in inspirational!! amazing!!

And he wasn't the only passer by to pay interest, as I and the team were approached by many more locals to enquirer what we were up to and cheer us on in our awesome community efforts! Hurrah!!

As the timer came to a stop and the last of the teams rolled in, we counted the collections and the team of Ruihua, Katherine, Clare and Stuart who were the clear winners with two full bags and their feet!! Wowzer!!!

So after the task it was down to some more big business and that was the 45minute full body fitness circuit, designed by myself to get these fine athletes sweating up a storm (and that was after the percuiliar hand sweat latex glove waterfalls).

It would be rude not to 'Suns out Guns out' and with that, the team got to work on a massive arms circuit to start. With three rounds of press up burpee splits, commando planks, partner chest pulls and triceps press ups!!

Next up it was lower body cuts consisting of one side on - Bench squat jumps, toe taps and Bulgarian split squats and the other side of badassery hitting up - Walking lunges, squats, jump squats and lateral lunges. Now Legs not get it twisted, this was a tough session in anyone's book, but like always the Southwark crew smashed it entirely, smiling (okay and a little bit of grimacing) all the way to finish!! Pow Pow!!

Last on the list for the night was the last competition.... Piggy-back races!!! Yay! Just to dead-off the last of the legs and squeeze the last of the energy. With a mighty fine effort it was chicks-away!!! with Sarah and Sally coming in for the win!!

Finals complete and jog back to base, the end was nigh and the vibes mega high. What an awesome night to give back, have good laughs and bust out some serious workout fun!!

See you next time fitness familia!!

DO GOOD. FEEL GOOD. INSPIRE.
