Back in Hampstead to collect a prescription and noticed something taking advantage of the increase in people eating outside restaurants at the moment. This black cat had set-up shop outside the Italian cafรฉ on Haverstock Hill to solicit attention (and presumably scraps) from the customers. I had to wait 15mins for the script to be filled and it was there throughout.

Before leaving, I stroked it for quite a while until a lady with an ice cream passed by, which the cat spotted and duly chased after her to beg for.

Apparently charities find black cats are less popular when it comes to re-homing them, so one has been celebrating National Black Cat Day for the last decade, with endorsements including Bob Mortimer.
