Here's what Mrs S of NR6 had to say about the mission:

Thank you very much. I'm so grateful for everything they did. We all got on really well.

Mrs S of NR6, mission beneficiary

Easter Sunday and a fairly long run to a new mission awaited us so we set off at a good pace, stopping briefly to say hello to some horses along the way.

When we arrived, Mrs S told us about her problems and directed us to a very large garden which she needed help with. Feeling daunted, we decided to tackle the front garden today which involved clearing the beds of ivy (easier said than done!) and weeding the gravel.

On several occasions, the ivy was winning so we took out the secetuers and cut it all back. Sarah took on the topiary challenge and did a pretty good job of making the bushes ‘circular’ as requested.

After about an hour, we were treated to a quick cuppa and a chat, before continuing with the weeding. By now the sky was darkening and the temperature was dropping so we said our goodbyes.

We had about 4miles to run home and the heavens opened! We kept our spirits high by laughing at how ridiculous we must have looked running through the downpour but we were very glad to get home!
