Chelmsford 1/2 and 10k run and cheer

It seemed that there was little in the way of positive feelings for the run this morning - Joel, Angela, and Laurie with claims of sore body parts and illnesses, and Russell and Richard concerned about their lack of training. Ben was just excited to try out his first 10k! We didn't let it get us down too much, even with a bottleneck start and very busy route until the 10k and 1/2 went separate ways.

Ben smashed his first 10k as our first GoodGym finisher, followed by Laurie, Joel, Paul, and Rich's wife Jane.

We joined the cheer squad, and welcomed in Russell, Angela and Richard from the 1/2.

Ben got a great first 10k PB, Laurie a marginal 10k PB, Richard a 1/2 PB (I think?!), and Russell an unbelievable 3 minutes knocked off his 1/2 PB!

Big thanks to Rich, David, Fay, Rachel and Abi, Jess, and bronze award winning DJ Andy for cheering us and so many other runners along the way.

Also, special shout out to Angela's mum for getting some great photos of Richard.
